Life Is Better At The Lake
The original development was dotted with cabins and camp sites. What began as a St. Louis weekend retreat in Jefferson County has evolved into a thriving development of full-time residents while maintaining that “in-the-woods” feeling with a deep sense of community.
LW Chili Cookoff - 2025
The Chili Cook Off was a great success! It was a good time to warm up on a cold January day, catch up with everyone and meet new neighbors. We had 12 different entries which were all delicious. Congratulations to our winners!
1st Place Bill and Evelyn Overall
2nd Place Mike Messmer
3rd Place Janie Carey
A huge thank you to all who donated a pot of chili, the Rod and Gun club for lending the Community Center for the afternoon, and for the volunteers, including W.O.W. The Chili Cookoff wouldn't have been possible without all of you!
Assessment Update
Yearly assessment bills are out. Assessments were due 11/1/2024.
Parkway/Common Ground Tree Removal
The LWI Board updated the policy for 2018 concerning trees on the Parkway. It now reads as follows "Any owner wishing to cut down live or dead tree(s) fronting their property on the Lake Wauwanoka Parkway is required to request and receive Board approval before proceeding with any removal."
It is the intent this will allow the removal of dead or dying trees on the Parkway by the property owner.
